Funding Calendar Docs

Using the app

Calendar sync (Google, Notion, .ics)

Put every deadline, window opening, decision date and cohort start on the calendar you already use.

Funding Calendar publishes your dates as a private calendar feed (an .ics link). Any calendar that can subscribe to a URL keeps it up to date automatically, including date changes when a funder moves a deadline.

What is in the feed

  • Application deadlines (with the funder’s own time zone where it is published).
  • Application windows opening, decision dates and cohort starts.
  • Due dates of the priorities on your Funding calendar board.

Google Calendar

  1. In Funding Calendar open Deadlines and choose Sync calendar → copy your calendar link.
  2. In Google Calendar on the web: Other calendars → + → From URL, paste the link, then Add calendar.
  3. Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule (usually every few hours).

Notion Calendar

Notion Calendar shows the calendars of your connected Google account, so once the feed is in Google Calendar it appears in Notion Calendar too. Turn it on in Notion Calendar’s sidebar if it is hidden.

Apple Calendar, Outlook and others

  • Apple Calendar: File → New Calendar Subscription, paste the link.
  • Outlook: Add calendar → Subscribe from web, paste the link.
  • Or download a one-off .ics file from Deadlines and import it (it will not update by itself).
Keep the link private

Anyone with your calendar link can read those events. If it leaks, reset it from the same Sync calendar menu; the old link stops working.
